Accessibility Statement for WorkWise Law PC

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. WorkWise Law PC is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Our organization is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We have appointed an Accessibility Coordinator who oversees our ongoing efforts to improve accessibility across our digital properties. Some of the measures we have taken include:

  • Conducting accessibility audits of our website, software applications, and digital documents using assistive technologies like screen readers. We use the feedback from these audits to identify and fix accessibility issues.
  • Setting internal accessibility standards that meet or exceed legal requirements like WCAG 2.1 AA. We measure compliance against these standards regularly.
  • Involving users with disabilities in testing our digital properties and providing feedback through focus groups, user interviews, and surveys. We use this input to prioritize accessibility improvements.
  • Maintaining an accessibility roadmap to schedule ongoing audits, training, research, and improvements to our digital properties. We are committed to constant improvement over time.

Assessment approach

To complement our internal accessibility efforts, we engage an independent third-party accessibility specialist to audit our digital properties. This external assessment provides an objective evaluation of our sites, apps, and documents against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. The auditor tests our properties using assistive technologies like screen readers and keyboards-only navigation. They note any issues that may hinder accessibility for users with disabilities. We use the findings from these professional audits to prioritize and implement accessibility fixes and improvements. The accessibility specialist monitors our progress and re-evaluates our properties after changes to ensure issues are properly addressed. They provide training and guidance to our staff as needed. This ongoing partnership with a third-party accessibility expert reinforces our commitment to meeting accessibility standards. It provides quality assurance and identifies areas where we can better meet the needs of users with disabilities. We appreciate this outside perspective, which allows us to see our properties through the lens of diverse users.
